Rain began her journey as a healer as a young child by massaging and learning to move energy to help her family members with neck pain, back pain and headaches. She really fell in love with meridian theory, energy work and body work during a Shiatsu program in the early 90’s. She learned about balancing energies in the body and the healing effects of releasing blockages and increasing circulation.
After moving to New York City in the mid 90s she entered acupuncture school. She is a 2001 graduate of Tri-State College of Acupuncture where she studied Meridian-style, Japanese, Classical and Acupuncture Physical-Medicine styles of Acupuncture. Rain has worked under several teachers which has helped to develop her eclectic approach. Her experience also includes Therapeutic Touch, Homeopathy, Western herbs, yoga, kinesiology and NAET (Allergy Elimination).
Rain loves helping people achieve optimum health and well-being by using an individualized and intuitive approach with each of her patients. She loves working with people rehabilitating from injuries or structural issues, helping manage stress, improving sleep as well as treating chronic, acute and autoimmune conditions. Rain’s practice includes acupressure, Shiatsu, cupping, and moxibustion.
Rain is thrilled to be back in her home state of Oregon after 20 years in New York City. She loves to go on walks and prepare meals with her family. She also loves to read and cuddle with her cats.
