One of the core tenets of naturopathic medicine is Docere, Doctor as Teacher. At Today Integrative Health and Wellness, we are very committed to our roles as teachers to our patients, the public, other healthcare professionals, and future naturopathic doctors.
Dr. Misty White is a member of the Vanguard Faculty, a group of medical professionals at the National College of Natural Medicine, the oldest naturopathic college in the United States, who are committed to advancing and promoting evidence-based medicine in an integrative setting. She utilizes the information she gains from this experience to educate her patients and empowers them to make health decisions. She has also served as adjunct faculty at the National College of Natural Medicine teaching students intravenous nutrient therapies and mentoring students during clinical rotations providing them with her clinical expertise.
Dr. Kirsten Wright is a trained integrative medicine researcher and physician. She has presented at numerous integrative medicine conferences as a student and physician including the International Research Congress for Integrative Medicine and Health and The Orthobiologic Research Institute’s annual Regenerative Medicine Congress on subjects such as herbal medicine biochemistry and regenerative therapies. She utilizes her complex research background to collect and interpret information for her patients helping them make well educated decisions about their health care needs.
Today Integrative Health and Wellness is committed to advancing naturopathic medicine through our residency program, which began in 2014. Each physician at Today provides mentorship, teaching and clinical pearls from their particular field of expertise providing the resident with a well-rounded and comprehensive post-graduate training. The residency program is invaluable for burgeoning naturopathic doctors and helps them develop their own practice style, become strong diagnosticians, and succeed in the profession.
