One of the core tenets of naturopathic medicine is Docere, Doctor as Teacher. We are very committed to our roles as teachers to our patients, the public, other healthcare professionals, and future providers.
Today Integrative Health and Wellness is committed to advancing naturopathic medicine through our residency program which began in 2014. Dr. Misty White provides mentorship, teaching and clinical pearls from her areas of expertise. With additional outside mentorship opportunities the resident receives a well-rounded and comprehensive post-graduate training experience. The residency program is invaluable for burgeoning naturopathic doctors and helps them develop their own practice style, become strong diagnosticians, and succeed in the profession.
Dr. White served for several years as Adjunct Clinical Faculty at the National College of Natural Medicine teaching students intravenous nutrient therapies and mentoring students during clinical rotations.
More recently, Dr. White was thrilled to be invited as Visiting Professor at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. While there, she gave multiple lectures on a variety topics of Naturopathic Medicine including mind-body medicine, botanical medicine and nature-based therapeutics. She is passionate about building bridges between conventional and naturopathic practices.
